Karen's parents held an engagement party for Karen and Adrian at their home in Coral Springs, FL on Saturday, November 29, 2003, so that the Berlins' family and friends could meet the happy engaged couple!

Karen's family set up the house and the dining room, and the tables were decorated with candles and lovely red tablecloths.

The party started at 6:30pm, and we excitedly awaited our nearly 70 friends and family members that were in attendance.

We didn't expect that many people to be there, as it was a holiday weekend, but nearly every seat in the house and at the tables outside was completely taken! The place was packed, and people seemed to be having a great time.

A few guests drove or flew long distances to get here. One guest in particular, Karen's friend Sally, flew in from Delaware to share in the celebration!

The party was catered, and featured a cook, bartender, and waiter. Some of the culinary choices included mini empanadas, dumplings, tortellini, penne pasta, a cheese spread and crackers, and a fruit platter. The food was simply amazing! The caterers did a great job.

Both Karen and Adrian really enjoyed mingling with people, seeing friends, and meeting new people (mostly on Adrian's part, since he only knew a few of Karen's family members and friends).

Many friends and family members graciously gave Karen and Adrian an engagement gift. After everyone left, Karen and Adrian (along with Karen's parents and the family dogs) enjoyed opening the gifts together and seeing both the beautiful and the useful things that they were given to start their life together.
